MerMay 2020 Commission: @cartoonjohnstudios

A commission for @cartoonjohnstudios, featuring his characters Jacob (blue tail) and Kalo (red tail) from his webcomic "Merboys" doing some stargazing together! This was so much fun to work on: from the nebulas in the Milky Way to the details on the boys' astronomical chart to the outlines of the constellations (I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to draw a centaur, even during a month like MerMay), every part of this commission was a joy to paint and illustrate. I'm very happy to be able to include it in my MerMay 2020 collection! Thanks, John, for your order!

Also, a fun fact! Aside from my "Frankly-Art" watermark, the constellations I chose to feature in this illustration function as a sort of meta-signature themselves: my sun sign is Pisces, my moon Taurus, and my rising Cancer. As for Sagittarius, well, chalk that up to me just being a big fan of centaurs, I guess.
