Deviltaur Crybaby

Next up in my series of your favorite characters drawn as taurs is Akira Fudo of the Devilman franchise, suggested by my guy @jefftaur on Instagram! 💖

If Neon Genesis Evangelion is my favorite anime, then Devilman Crybaby is a very, VERY close second. Everything from its story to its aesthetic to its soundtrack and everything in between deeply resonated with me, but what captivated me most was its absolute hunk of a main character, Akira Fudo—needless to say, it didn't require much convincing to add Akira to my list of characters to taurify when @jefftaur suggested him! 😋 Despite being half-demon, Akira is one of the kindest and noblest fictional characters that, as far as I'm concerned, has ever existed; he is certainly an archetype (and body type 👀💦) worth aspiring toward. Though I could never have anticipated the absolute emotional meatgrinder that the 10-episode run of Devilman Crybaby would put me through, I am beyond grateful for what it had to show me, as well as for introducing me to the grade-A husband material that is Akira Fudo. If you have yet to check it out for yourself, I highly recommend Devilman Crybaby to anyone who's even remotely interested in anime. Just be warned that it is certainly not for the faint of heart! 😈😱
