Art Trade: @killithemerman

Here's my entry in a long-overdue art trade with @killithemerman on Instagram! Killi's been such a fervent supporter of my works for so long that when he asked me to do a trade with him (many months ago by now—my bad!) I was more than happy to collaborate with him... plus, you all know I'm not one to shy away from any opportunity to draw a handsome merboy. 😋

Even though @killithemerman is half-fish, he wanted to try his hand at drawing a character of the leggier variety: you'll all undoubtedly remember (or at least, you'd better remember 👀 haha or else) my character Obi from my Taurgust 2020 series, the sweet-but-shy zebrataur from my Urban Fantasy project. Killi did such a great job capturing Obi's demure demeanor in his adorable illustration! I also love how the competing chevrons Killi used in the frame are not only evocative of Obi's own stripes, but also echo his own indecisiveness with his conflicting thoughts and desires constnatly pointing him in opposing directions. Thank you so much for drawing him, @killithemerman! I hope this has encouraged you to draw plenty more centaurs in the future! 🤗
